Rectangular Magnets

Most permanent magnets are made from standard alloys called Alnico and Alcomax. These are not steels and they do not have the mechanical properties of steels. In fact, their formidable magnetic performances result from sacrifice of mechanical strength. ALNICO means ALuminum Nickel CObalt (plus iron). It is a well-established alloy much superior to all steels. ALCOMAX is also of the ALNICO type but more modern and with efficiency several times greater.
