Structural Slip On Fittings High-Strength Aluminum/Magnesium Alloy Structural fittings make building a variety of railing systems (and other structures) quick, easy and low in cost. The key is the slip-on design feature which allows ease of assembly with few tools and minimum installer skill levels. There are no bolts, nuts, washers, adhesives, threading or welding. Simply select the fittings you need, cut the pipe to length, slip on fitting and tighten set screw which locks the fitting securely to the pipe. Set screws are 3/8" x 7/16". Hex wrench size is 3/16. The railings are virtually maintenance free as well as salvageable and reusable. These fully American made fittings meet or exceed current OSHA requirement, plus all local/regional building codes. They are precision cast in high-strength aluminum/magnesium alloy that is lightweight and corrosion resistant yet stronger than malleable iron. They're gauged to standard pipe sizes (I.P.S.) and can be used with steel galvanized steel, or aluminum pipe without a galvanic reaction. Pipe sections are 9/64" thick. Aluminum pipe is 6063 alloy and temper T6. Available Mill or anodized finish |
