Description
There are 19 components total, 11 uniques parts, and radio knob has two configurations. This assembly consists of 19 components (11 unique) including the case which is a multi-body solid that consist of all the external wood pieces. The dial turns and the AM dial numbers show inside the escutcheon. There is an limit angle mate that restricts the tuner to only rotate 175 degrees. The radio knob has two configurations used in the assembly where the middle knob is slightly smaller than the three outside one. Some simplified versions of the tubes and condensor are included to show patterning in an assembly. Under Linear Component Pattern dropdown, "Feature Driven Component Pattern" was selected to quickly re-use the sheetmetal part's hole and tabs patterns to place the Vacuum Tubes and Capacitors.

Description
This fun assembly shows the use of various techniques to give the appearance of over a hundred swords comprising the chair without having to actually place all those swords one by one. The challenge with this chair was to not have to make each individual sword and place them one by one. To be more efficient, mirroring and patterning was used throughout the main part and also the assembly. The chair is broken up into the front and sides in main part. The back section of the chair and the seat rest are created in the assembly. Multiple sword configurations are used to vary the swords to make it look less uniform.Different techniques are used to create sketch paths for the sword blade sweeps including intersection curve, projected curve, spline on surface and split line features. Some of the unique features in the parts include projected curve, insert part, flex, split line curve, move/copy body and move face. Feature scope is used through out the part and assembly to control which solids or components are affected by a feature. Other features included in the models are lofts, multiple sweeps, combine and split features. There are many different examples of patterns in the part and assembly to speed up the process of placing multiple swords. Linear, circular, sketch and even curve driven patterns are used in this assembly. There is even an example of a circular pattern of a sketched driven pattern. Download this file to learn more about how make 3D curves for 3D sweeps, and various part and assembly patterns.

Description
A weldment is an object made up of several parts welded together. This model is represented as a multibody solid, not as an assembly. This structural member uses square tube for its “profile”.

Description
This model was created using only surface body features and then the surface bodies are turned solid bodies using thicken commands. This part is symmetric about the Right Plane. A Planar Surface will be used as the outline for a Ruled Surface.

Description
To begin, an extrude forms the main cylinder of the part. Draft is built into the sketch to ensure correct draft at the parting line. A new plane is constructed tangent to the top of the cylinder and parallel to the top plane to be used to build the hook anchor portion of the part. The hook anchor portion of the part is modeled as a large mass. Additional cut operations will remove material to achieve the correct design intent. The cut "Shape Bottom" creates a hard edge where the drafted cut intersects the corner radius. The face fillet tool rounds that edge and has the correct draft angle. Split lines will be used to add new edges to the model representing the parting line. Delete face is used to remove unwanted faces from the model, including the fillet stop block. A variable fillet is used to model a fillet that terminates as it hits the parting line. The parting line cannot be filleted.

Description
This is a machined part that has mostly extruded features with a few revolved features, a boundary cut and swept cut. All part features are symmetric about the Front Plane with the exception of the swept cut. A 180 degree revolve is used for two closed contours. The Delete and Patch option is used to trim up the base plate. Fillets are used at the end to clean up the part.

Description
This is a machined part that has extruded features, some revolved features, and some special cuts that include boundary and sweep cuts. This part is an example of a multibody solid. It has 14 different bodies which could be separated out into their own part files. A Helix/Spiral is used to create the Sweep path. The "cross-section" or profile is a circle that is only partially touching the surface being cut. A derived sketch creates a link to the original sketch, a parent child relationship where if you change the original sketch the derived sketch will automatically update. The Delete Body removes construction surface geometry to eliminate clutter and any confusion for down-stream users.

Description
This is a machined part that has extruded features, some revolved features, and some special cuts that include swept cuts and a boundary cut. The part will be cut into two pieces about this edge. Split line using the Front plane and the Projection option. There is Stepped Indentation before shell feature. The equation keeps the length of this cut one quarter of side indentation cut. The sweep path is created using the Selection Manager to group the outside edges from the split line 3 feature. The "Merge Results" is used to keep the model as one body.
