Description
The standard SIM connector is specifically designed for handheld devices requiring secure subscriber identification. -The connectors are available in a standard 6 pin configuration on a 2.54mm pitch with a 0.8mm height. Contacts are stamped, gold plated, rated at 0.5A, and 5000 mechanical cycles. -Our contact design is specifically rounded to avoid any possible damage during and after card insertion to the card itself, assuming normal use. The design also incorporates protection features to avoid contact damage during this operation such as contact snagging.

Description
The market and applications for simple and reliable discrete Wire-to-Board connectors continue to evolve. AVX first introduced the 9175 series of surface mountable Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDC) in 2006. Developed for harsh industrial and automotive applications, these connectors have been used in hundreds of applications from today’s “Smart Meter” all the way down to a simple sensor termination to a PCB. Size and performance has been one of the key factors for selecting this connector in terminating 26-28AWG wires to a PCB. - The next generation of IDC connector moves beyond all of the technical and performance attributes to address the “User Friendliness” of the product. By changing the insulator from acting as a connector body and make it more like a contact carrier, the insulator becomes the wire location and insertion aid without any special tools. The wire is just inserted into the cap (no stripping required) and then pressed down to provide a secure “Gas Tight” termination. This configuration simplifies and cost reduces the entirewire termination process for connecting discrete wires to a PCB.

Description
AVX has developed a unique 50 Ohm SMT Coax Connector based on our industry proven discrete wire Insulation Displacement Connector (IDC) technology. By combining two different sized IDC contacts, we can reliably pierce the center conductor and outside jacket dielectric materials to make electrical connection to the signal wire and braid (ground connection). Designed specifically for RG178 cable, the concept can be applied to other cable sizes. -The connector comes with a pre-attached cap in tape & reel packaging. The coax cable only needs the outer jacket and braid stripped. The cable is then inserted into the connector and the cap can be pressed down via a small press or hand tool. The biggest advantage of this connector is that it is extremely easy to terminate, no soldering, additional stripping processes or crimp tools are needed. The all plastic design is more cost effective than plated screw machine components while providing a VSWR less than 1.2:1 in excess of 700MHz.

The market and applications for simple and reliable discrete Wire-to-Board connectors continue to evolve. AVX first introduced the 9176 series of surface mountable Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDC) in 2007. Developed for harsh industrial and automotive applications, these connectors have been used in hundreds of applications from today’s “Smart Meter” all the way down to a simple sensor termination to a PCB. Size and performance has been one of the key factors for selecting this connector in terminating 18-24AWG wires to a PCB. - The next generation of IDC connector moves beyond all of the technical and performance attributes to address the “User Friendliness” of the product. Description
AVX offers the 12 way mini I/O connector as a standard product. The SMT socket is designed to be mounted on a PCB and housed within a portable device. The plug is designed for cable termination with dual row contact tails which will accept a small transition PCB. Plugs can be supplied as connectors or as an overmolded assembly. The contacts are in a single row on 0.50mm pitch.

Description
Wire-to-Wire connectors have been used in the industrial market for years with traditional 2-Piece (plug and socket) connector systems which require crimp and poke wire terminations to connect electrical or electronic components. In the general wiring market (2-3 wires) there are a number of connector styles available, however, they are limited in sizes, expanded wire gauges and the ability to reuse them when repair or replacement is needed. Based on the existing success of “Poke-Home” wire-to-board connectors, AVX has developed a new family of wire-to-wire connectors to meet the cost, flexibility and ease-of-use targets in industrial wiring applications. - The 9286 series of Junction Box connectors provide a high spring force Beryllium Copper contact system that uses simple push button activation to insert and remove individual stripped wires in the connection process. There is a forward and aft shrouded (to prevent accidental activation) push button for each wire connection that can be operated individually or simultaneously with a simple plastic tool or ball point pen tip. This connector family has been designed to bring a single wire in and then have multiple output (bus structure) wires of the same power or signal. Four, Six or Eight wires can be electrically connected together in a single connector body which will support any combination of wire gauges from 18AWG up to 26 AWG. Wires can be removed or replaced up to 5 times so there is no need to replace the connector in a new installation.

Description
Designers for ruggedized connectors to meet harsh environments continue to look for new products which will reduce size and cost without jeopardizing performance. The new Ultra-Low Profile (ULP) compression contact from AVX surface mounts to a PCB and provides a reliable compression connection to the mating board, even under extreme shock and vibration applications. With over 20 years of 1-Piece compression contact experience, this innovative contact offers full connector performance functionality at the individual contact level. Thus, allowing single contacts to be placed in any location or position on a PCB. - The high force beryllium copper contact is gold plated to maximize reliability and signal integrity. The current offering has two contacts with nominal heights of 1.0mm and 1.5mm. Add in the “Z” axis tolerance range and the compressed height covers 0.75mm up to 1.75mm. The contacts are supplied in tape and reel for easy SMT placement.

Description
AVX has been leading the industry with reliable Board-to-Board (BTB) compression connectors for commercial, medical and harsh industrial applications, obtaining the very first contact patent in the early 1990’s. The broad range of connectors offers both signal contacts which support 1 Amp/contact up to 40 position as well as low pin count (LPC) power contacts up to 3 Amps/contact. - The newest addition is the Ultra Low Profile (ULP) power connector that supports a 1.3mm compressed height, the lowest on the market. Gold plated Beryllium Copper (BeCu) contacts offers the most reliable and resilient contact performance in this miniature package. The sweeping contact design offers 0.7mm deflection range, long contact wipe and in excess of 40 grams of contact force at minimum operating deflection. All combined, this connector is rated at an unbelievable 5000 mating cycles for mechanical endurance.
