This model is created with all solid body features except for the eye geometry that was created with a surface. The surface features include a filled surface with a 3D constraint curve and a few offset surfaces. There is one example of a 3D sketch using the "spline on surface" relation which is placed on a offset copied surface. There are two cut with surfaces features to show a small sample of Hybrid Modeling techniques.

This model is intended to demonstrate the power of the Variable Pattern feature. The bottom head contains the original Mouth, Teeth, Nose and Eyes features. The other three heads are patterned using Variable Pattern. Each instance is driven by a spreadsheet containing varying dimensions that drive the sketches of each feature. The result is that each head of the Tiki contains unique facial expressions, even though they were modeled only one time.

Making a list and checking twice. Just in time for the holidays, the elves just put a new coat of wax on the sleigh. This multi-body part is made of mostly extruded features. Where possible, most of the geometry is mirrored to save time. Two sketch driven patterns place the presents and snowflakes. The pattern for the presents is a very unique case of where a 3D sketch is used to place and scale the presents. Both the presents and snowflakes are scaled to give a less "uniform" appearance of the patterns. To give more randomness to the present pattern, some of the presents are rotated using the move/copy bodies command. To facilitate the scaling of the presents, multiple coordinate systems are added to control the location of the presents so they stay coincident with the bench seats and/or the floor.Other features include thin features, circular patterns, combines, spirals, full round fillets, one boundary, and a split line curve. There are two different configurations in the model showing two different techniques to create very similar geometry. The first method streamlines the design by minimizing the numbers of features and uses simple commands to create the geometry. The second method uses sweeps and patterns and is also efficient in its own right, keeping the feature countdown to minimum.

This model goes over an elegant way of creating the egg geometry with a minimal amount of features. The part show how to create a solid body like a single reptile scale and then pattern it in multiple directions. There is an example of a split feature and a split line curve. This part shows a revolved pattern of two curve driven patterns. The Move/Copy Body feature is used to adjust the orientation of the scales to get the patterns to look smooth.

This easy to understand model demonstrates some basic hybrid modeling techniques. It is modeled with mostly solid body features, with a handful of surface features added to complete to finish the part. Two face fillets are included using different options. One uses a hold line, the other one is a constant chord width fillet. There is a surface fill using constraint curves to create a dome like shape at the bottom of the bottle.

There are two configurations with different poses created by a flex feature. There are multiple examples of surface boundaries, lofts and fills. This part was designed to hold three ball needles used for inflating soccer balls or basketballs and attaches directly to a tire pump cylinder. This cylinder will be used as a reference to get the sizing correct for the needle holder. This cylinder represents the tube of a tire or ball pump. This part includes static simulation studies with it.
